Discover the warmth and hospitality of the people of the Nord
Here’s an original tourism idea: going for a walk with a local resident who will present their area. Tourists meet up with a local resident (referred to as a 'greeter') who introduces them in a friendly way to his or her neighbourhood or town, with pride and enthusiasm.
The Park identified a certain number of people as likely to be interested in becoming ‘greeters’, and the Nord Tourist Board has officially recognised 26 greeters (most located in greater Lille), including 3 within the Park territory. These are Robin Derozier in Saint-Amand-les-Eaux (in the foreground in the photo), Jean-Yves Cools in Mortagne-du-Nord, and Béatrice Plaquet in Valenciennes.
