Behind you is a patchwork of small fields and hedgerows. The gentle undulations of the Boulonnais are home to a wealth of little gems, off the beaten path and just waiting to be discovered. An ancient landscape here, a stone-built manor house there... A secret world just out of sight, which many people pass close to without even imagining it is there. The Audomarois marshes are an enchanting location, much loved by those who get to experience it. The strength of these localities stems from their residents, who have gradually fashioned the landscape. Caps et Marais d’Opale Regional Nature Park came into being in 2000 with the merger of Boulonnais and Audomarois parks. The most northerly of France’s Regional Nature Parks, it lies in the north of the Pas-de-Calais area, between the Channel and the North Sea, between Flanders and Artois.
